The Voice of God

John 10:27-28

King James Version

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Have you ever wanted to hear God’s voice or wondered what it felt like to hear his voice?

Well, I gave good news for you. You are already hearing the voice of God through his Word. John 1:1 tells us “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” The Word of God is his voice. The word of God is living and active and offers us a deep, transformative sense of guidance as well as Godly wisdom which we can find no where else.

Surely, God can also speak to us through an audible voice, having a dream or vision, or some other form of divine interaction. Let’s not forget Moses or the prophets of the bible were described as hearing God's voice clearly and audibly. I do still believe that this obtains today however, what is paramount is spending time meditating on the Word of God which is accessible to us all.  I mean how else will we learn to hear the audible voice or understand dreams and visions if we do not have the written word in us. God in his infinite wisdom provided us with the written word as a foundation, a stepping stone, and a light which will lead us into having an intimate relationship with him. Wouldn’t is be great to live a fulfilling life? As we spend time in the word of God, live according to his ways and walk in obedience, our lives will surely bear good fruit.

Beloved, I encourage you to allow Gods word to shape or mold your character into a more Christ like character so that we may operate from a place of Love, patience, kindness, self control, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness because for these beloved, there is no law.

Yours faithfully,

Ava
